Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
The purpose of the data processing is to fulfill the public tasks assigned to us by the legislator.
The legal basis for processing your data, unless otherwise stated, is derived from Art. 4 Para. 1 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Art. 6 Para. 1 Subparagraph 1 Letter e of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This permits us to process the data necessary to perform a task assigned to us.
If you have given your consent to processing, the processing is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 Subparagraph 1 Letter a GDPR.
Duration of Storage of Personal Data
We store your data as long as it is necessary to fulfill the task, for documentation obligations, or due to legal retention periods.
Rights of the Data Subject
If we process personal data about you, you have the following rights as a data subject:
- Right to Information: You may request information about whether we are processing personal data about you. If this is the case, you have the right to information about this data and further information related to the processing (Art. 15 GDPR). Please note that this right to information may be limited or excluded in certain cases (see in particular Art. 10 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act - BayDSG).
- Right to Correction: If the personal data about you is not (or no longer) accurate or is incomplete, you can request the correction or completion of this data (Art. 16 GDPR).
- Right to Deletion and Restriction: Under certain conditions, you can request the deletion of your personal data (Art. 17 GDPR) or the restriction of its processing (Art. 18 GDPR). However, the right to deletion under Art. 17 Para. 1 and 2 GDPR does not apply, among other things, when the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority (Art. 17 Para. 3 Letter b GDPR).
- Right to Withdraw Consent: If you have given consent to processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out based on the consent until the withdrawal is not affected by this.
- Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your personal data by us at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). If the legal requirements are met, we will subsequently cease processing your personal data.
